The land offers:
Forested camping areas
Composting toilets
Outdoor shower
Apothecary building with a shared kitchen, refrigerator, freezer, and electricity
Outdoor covered classrooms and communal areas
Lockers, seating areas, and an indoor classroom
A small study area and plenty of open-air space to think, rest, and learn
Winter Camping and Lodgings
Winter students can request access to warmer indoor accommodations. These are limited and must be reserved in advance for very cold weather only. Most people choose to camp, use the shared dojo or stay locally in Augusta.
Our apothecary kitchen is yours to use. It includes a stove, fridge, freezer, and food prep space. We don’t provide meals, so please bring what you know and like to eat. Meals are self-prepared, with a one-hour break scheduled for each.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I arrive early?
Yes. Campers are welcome to arrive the evening before your course begins. It makes for a smoother start.
Where will I sleep?
You’ll camp in one of our forested sites. Bring your own tent or shelter system. If you're joining us in winter, limited indoor options are available by request.
Is there electricity and running water?
Yes. Our apothecary building has electricity, potable water, and a full kitchen. You'll also find lockers, study space, and charging stations.
Can I bring my dog or an unregistered friend?
No pets or visitors, please. To maintain focus and respect for the land, only registered students may be present.
Is the course weather-dependent?
We run in all conditions—rain, shine, or snow. Come prepared. Wool, poly, and a good rain jacket will go further than you'd expect.
Can I stay after the course ends?
Camping is available until the final day of your course. If you'd like to stay longer, contact us to see if accommodations are available.
